“I don’t care what the educational political lobby and their allies on the left say,” he declared at one point. “Evolution is hooey...The secular humanists may argue that we are a secular nation,” McLeroy said, jabbing his finger in the air for emphasis.Don McLeroy Republican member of the Texas State School Board
"But we are a Christian nation founded on Christian principles. The way I evaluate history textbooks is first I see how they cover Christianity and Israel. Clearly McLeroy has a very different definition of history than most folks - sort of a a la carte, buffet-style history, where school boards can pick certain events and censor others to ensure Christianity and Ronald Reagan emerge in the best possible light.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, boy, I sure am proud to see Reagan finally get the credit he deserves for saving the world from communism. Shucks - the way he punched out communism's robot henchmen, fought his way out of the shark pit, and stopped the countdown with seconds to spare, destroying communism's orbiting death satellites and sparing the earth from complete annihilation - he deserves to be on the fifty dollar bill for that one, you betcha!
Well Leon
ReplyDeleteKeep a close eye and tight control on them history text books ...No reason to actually find out if facts indeed have a liberal bias.
